This WanderWednnesday, join us as we're following Wanderlista founder Andria Mitsakos on this journey with White Key Villas as they start summer unlocking Paros and Antiparos.

One of the larger islands of the Aegean, Paros is considered as the authentic definition of the Cyclades offering something for all ages and lifestyles from the wide range of activities, world-famous wind-surfing beaches, gourmet restaurants, and wild nightlife to quiet traditional villages with delicious fish tavernas by the water, sailing and religious and cultural interests.

Contrary to Mykonos, where one is bound to see and be seen, the more laid back and hedonistic atmosphere on Paros allows one to remain incognito, away from the crowds, yet at close distance to where the action is.

As the paradise for watersports, Paros is considered to be one of the best spots in the Greek islands for windsurfing with the New Golden Beach hosting the annual World Cup. Sailing is a great way to enjoy the Cyclades and from Paros you have plenty of opportunity to sail out over the clear waters, you might also want to try a little kite-surfing, water-skiing or diving.

With its charming port, white-washed houses and picturesque pedestrian streets, Antiparos is the kind of Greek island that people dream of. It is ideal for laid-back sunshine, gorgeous beaches and relaxing vibes. Initially a darling of an international artistic avant-garde and recently a favorite of the VIPs, who have found here the ideal seaside hideaway, it is less than one nautical mile away from famous Paros, but has its own distinct flavor. Although petite in size, its slightly elongated shape offers nearly 60km of coastline, meaning there are lots of beaches to be discovered. On the east side, famous Soros beach is wide and seductive, with interesting snorkeling sights – while Small Soros is less crowded. On the south side, the bay of Agios Georgios has turquoise waters – from there you can do a kayak trip to the sea caves and islet Despotiko. Last, don't miss Agios Sostis and Faneromeni, two beaches of mesmeric beauty.

The town has plenty of traditional Greek tavernas and cafes along the seafront where you can while away the day people watching. Most of the town is pedestrian zoned with cobbled streets and plenty of small shops waiting to be discovered. In the main square of the village, a picturesque nightlife hub has evolved surrounded by sophisticated bars and traditional coffee shops.

Time away from the beaches can be spent wandering through the town or exploring some of the more cultural aspects, such as the stalactite cave for which the island is well known. The island does not offer water-sports activities, however the nearby island of Paros is the paradise of water-sports. On Paros, one can find a wide range of activities including waterskiing, snorkeling, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing.
